Edwards Air Force Base has a big air show every three years. This year we decided to take the family. We had never been before and didn't know what to expect. The gates opened at 7am and the show started at 10am.
There were tons of airplanes and helicopters. From old war replicas to new fighter jets. The kids were able to sit in the cockpit of most of them. They let people walk through some of them too. We walked through the NASA Shuttle Carrier. It's a bit odd walking through a plane that has no seats.
The show started with an anniversary tribute to two gentlemen who broke the sound barrier in two F-16 Fighting Falcons. Next was the Army Golden Knights Parachute Team. Followed by aircraft which included (F-22) Raptors, (T-38) Talons, (F-16) Vipers, BUFFs, BONEs, (B-2) Spirits, (F/A-18) Hornets, (F-15) Eagles. It was a great show but because it was so hot we didn't stay for the whole time. The kids favorite part was the Tora Tora reenactment of the bombs being dropped.
