Today our local SPCA held an Unleash Your Love fundraiser. People were able to donate, adopt a pet, get their cat neutered or microchip their pet. I took this opportunity to get Dakota micro chipped. It might have been easier to do when we got her spayed but I would rather help a local organization raise funds to help animals than give the money to the vet. Especially now that Bakersfield has more animals in shelters than the city of Los Angeles. But don't get me started.
Once we got home Dakota decided to take a nap. She doesn't go for her bed, the crate or even the recliner she's claimed as hers. Occasionally she'll sleep on our bed or the couch but lately she prefers the kitchen floor. The other day Dakota and Isabelle fell asleep on the couch together. That was cute. Today she took a nap right on top of my clean folded laundry. Not so cute!
