On A Mission

Every year we load the kids in the car and go in hunt of the perfect Christmas Tree. This year we headed to The Marling Farm in Oakland City, Indiana about a 30 minute drive from Evansville. Matt tries to talk me into a fake tree every year, probably because he does most of the work in cutting it down. I know in the long run it would be cheaper but "tree hunting" is one of my favorite things about Christmas.

We found a white pine tree that was perfect. I love a "fat" tree but it's hard to find one without gaping holes. Matt even got off lucky this year because at Marling Farm they will cut the tree down for you. They give the kids hot chocolate and they took our picture of us with our tree and put it in a photo frame, all for free.

By the time we had it loaded on the car it had started to snow. A perfect end to a perfect day. Mission complete.
